Find answers to common questions about our therapy services

What can I expect in my first therapy session?

Your first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your background, and your goals. It's also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about the therapy process.

How does virtual therapy work?

Virtual therapy sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You'll receive a link to join your session at the scheduled time. All you need is a device with internet access and a private space where you feel comfortable talking.

Is your therapy covered by insurance?

We do not directly accept insurance, but we do offer superbills for out-of-network benefits. Many insurance companies offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers. You can check your potential coverage using the Reimbursify widget on our Payment and Insurance Information page.

How much do sessions cost?

Our current rates are $150 per session for individual therapy and $175 per session for couples therapy. We offer superbills that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits.

How do I use my out-of-network benefits?

To use your out-of-network benefits, you'll pay for your session upfront and then submit a superbill (which we provide) to your insurance company for reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your specific out-of-network coverage and reimbursement process.

How long does therapy typically last?

The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some clients find short-term therapy (8-12 sessions) helpful, while others benefit from longer-term support. We'll regularly review your progress and adjust the treatment plan as needed.

What's unique about your approach to transition-related grief?

Our approach to transition-related grief is holistic and tailored to each individual's experience. We understand that transitions can bring both excitement and loss, and we work with you to navigate these complex emotions, helping you find meaning and growth through the process.
